mummy_napkin "A journey" is perfectly fit to describe this album. the overall atmosphere is incredible. Lulled into a trance by the synth chords before being hammered by some of the tightest guitar riffs and drum blasts I've ever heard. So easy to get lost in the depth of this album. a masterclass in black metal Favorite track: The Forsaken.

Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass) A stellar release of unequaled quality. Almost certainly the best from Sworn to date, and one of the best of the year. Favorite track: Calamity Sea.

wykthewkd This is one of these albums that once you start playing it, it's hard to switch off. From the 2nd song onwards it creates a life of its own. Highly memorable and highly replayable. The melodies are killer. Favorite track: Calamity Sea.

Frosty Bear What an amazing album. Majestic, beautiful, and thoroughly engrossing. Not black metal typical of Norway, or even Sweden (as far as melodic black metal goes). Has elements of both, but there’s a distinct epic feel throughout, especially with the acoustic work and neoclassical pieces.

Truly a special album. Favorite track: Monumental.

rode There aren't many albums that do what A Journey Told Through Fire does. It surprises even after listening to it multiple times. The song writing combined with the amazing production truly makes this one of the best albums released in 2023! And although I have chosen Grand Eclipse as my favourite, this could have been any of the songs on this album. Favorite track: Grand Eclipse.

Middle Earth They call it Atmospheric Norwegian Black Metal. I would also add more energetic than Atmospheric and quite melodic.

Definitely much better than the B.I release, I think it's closer to Scandinavian-like melodic DM rather than extreme BM. Regardless, I love the result, though it's reminiscent of Wintersun's computer programmed elements put together by some AI-driven entity, I liked it a lot, just like Wintersun's Time. Not sure some of the tracks needed to be that long, but that's just personal taste. Overall is very good, not up to the hype, but surely damn good ! sachavonkarl74

Dieses Projekt von Mastermind „Noise“ verbindet knallharten Death Metal mit melodischem Black Metal. Hier passt alles. Man höre nur mal die Riffs und Drums die das Gewehrfeuer in Grabenlieder nochmal unterstreichen. Mit Unterstandsangst geht es sogar Richtung Post Black Metal. Musikalisch werden die harten Töne immer wieder von ruhigen und akustischen Passagen unterbrochen. Das sorgt für eine gelungene Abwechslung. Zum Schluss gibt es noch einen Akustik-Song mit Klargesang. Was für ein Brett! Sælzer Bub
